Someone asked me a VERY important question recently and I thought I should share it with you all as it may make things clearer as to why I draw the things I do as well as shine light on the subject to those confused about my fetish and interest and the choices made by them.
Here it is and I hope it makes things clearer for everyone. If you want to make ignorant replies and imply that my logic is unfounded or stupid than you are a menace to society and progress and must be purged from man-kind. >=o In a very serious and direct manner.
The Question:
Well, I'm wondering what is it that drives you to draw such large and curvaceous furry characters?
Also, why do you not draw furries have certain body parts showing like many other furry artists? (on this question, do not misunderstand, I think it's a good thing that you don't get to the point of vulgarity or distatefulness in this aspect of your art, I'm just wondering what keeps you from going down that "path?")
My Answer:
You mean nipple stuff and the like? Well there are LOTs of reasons why I don't do that sort of thing. One is that creatures with fur (mammals and such) do not not have very noticeable nipples in the first place. Their fur is in the way. And about other aspects of why I don't go to extremities (possibly sexual to the extreme or other such vulgar things) is because I just don't find an interest in them. I find no sense in doing such unless its required to do so. I draw what I like and the kind of things I draw and create don't require that I go down that path.
I like leaving things to the imagination of the viewer since that plays a more powerful part in attracting their attention.
As for my drive of why I draw furs of that size and nature would have to be my interest in the fantasy. Its an aspect that I find that the norm doesn't really cover. Its like finding a new use for a tool or coming across a particular idea that hasn't been developed. Since its relatively new to the mind's imagination I can pretty much do whatever I want with it without being partonized by my peers who follow that idea. I can create its world since the interest hasn't developed a wide-accepted formula for it yet. I get the oppurtunity to make that formula and make it as loose and free-ranged as I wish.
Specifically though, why immensely curvy furs? Well, I guess it has to be that visualizing its experience activates certain imaginitive ideas that I never thought of before. You have to imagine what it is like to be or interact with the character in order to understand it in the first place. That goes for pretty much any interest I guess.
I have a pic that is perfect as a follow up to this journal and its coincidentially the one I have been trying to put up here before I begin my questhood-diddlyness into commissionisism <--intentional
I'll submit that tomorrow, as well as a couple trade back pics of precisely 4 in the following days, start my commissions AND upload a held back pic every third day. I have THAT many pics that no one else has seen. Let the good times follow.
Sorry for the delay! I just wanted to confirm that the negative events that have been happening around me lately has been beaten to death in the proper and more permanent fashion.
Art update and Mass Uploading
I've been busy drawing and I have lots to upload. In the mean time I upgraded my way of shading pics, but that won't reflect on all these older things I have yet to upload. So there will be a bounce of quality all over the place.
Need the drag and order image function in an OS
Since even Steam is abandoning Windows 7 and 8.1, I have to update. Is anyone aware if there is a function in W11 where I can drag and arrange the order of images? Ever since I moved from XP, I had to modify 7 to allow me to do this. I don't think this is possible in later OS.
Dental Funds Art Drive?
I have a dental bill I need to pay for (replacing a failing filling with a crown). So to help pay for this, I was wondering if I should do an art drive. But I am drawing a total blank on what character it would be. Any suggestions?
How I have been doing things Lately
So I've been drawing a lot lately. Like crazy amounts. I don't have a process anymore. I just go with what I start putting on the canvas. I've been avoiding commissions, because I can't really set time aside to do it. Art comes when it comes. Anything I do outside of this is from unique timing. I start drawing the second I even think I like an idea. [Commissions?] If I do start doing commissions, they will be spontaneous. If I post work, it is likely something I finally got to finish or I did on the spot. I won't be planning ahead and will just do what happens. [Trades?] In the past I have been asked to do trades by a few artists I admire. I have had to decline them all, because of some of my shortcomings. I will now pursue trades with others. Maybe this will motivate me into doing commissions, collaborations, or some other community related things. Trying to do things in order hasn't been working for me anymore. These last couple years made me realize how much better I am for
